We can arrange the install of new customised fire escapes to meet your needs.

In cases where a new fire escape is required, we can help. Our team will work with you to replace an existing structure or install in a new location of your choice.

We can help you with the build from design to installation, or just with the stages you require help with.

There are a variety of different structures that can be installed depending on your needs, these are listed below.

Straight

A straight staircase is literally just straight. They feature a single linear flight with no change in direction. Any platform at the top will also go in a straight line following the path as the staircase

Quarter Turn

A quarter turn staircase has a single 90 degree turn going left or right. This turn can be placed either on the top of the stair with a platform leading to an entrance (as shown) or partially between the top and bottom of the staircase.

Half Turn

A half-turn or “u-turn” staircase is one of the most common types seen today. The turn is 180 degrees, with each flight effectively coming back on itself, with a separate landing between each flight.

Winder

A winder staircase is slightly more complicated than a quarter turn. These staircases feature a set of treads that are wider on one side, and take the place of a platform that would usually have a 90 degree turn.

Spiral

A spiral staircase features a compact design, built around a central pole, and if looked at from above would look like a complete circle.

The narrow wedge shaped treads mean that these may not be the easiest of stairs to climb up and down, but are ideal when the available space is very tight.

Curved / Helicoil

Unlike quarter turn or half turn staircases, curved or helicoil staircases feature no right angled turns, or landings. The stairs are continuous and follow the curve of the handrail.

Bifurcated

Bifurcated staircases are generally the most striking and impressive stair structure. They feature a single stair that splits into different directions, usually to the left or right.

These make a great fire escape when being placed between multiple offices or buildings as the flights from each escape lead to the same location, saving a lot of space and money compared to having multiple separate escapes.

Ladder

A ladder is a straight vertical stair, most commonly used in industrial environments. They take up very little floor space, but can be difficult to climb.

These require a cage going around the outside for safety, and have a stringent set of requirements to ensure safety.
