Inspection Gradings
Every part of our report provides a colour-coded grading related to its condition. These are broken down in five different categories:

- Information only.
- Safe with no work required.
- Postponed to a later time, but to be monitored.
- Planned maintenance within six months.
- Immediate attention required.
This grading system helps you to prioritise and works that may need to be completed in order to bring the structures up to a safe standard.
Our steel stair inspections are carried out under BS8210, while our inspections for fixed ladders meet BS4211:2005+A1:2008.
Recommendations
Our reports include recommendations to bring your structures up to current standards. Many of these recommendations, if required, can be completed by yourself or your maintenance team. We provide helpful guides within the report on how to complete these recommendations,
Repairs
In some cases, repairs may be required that may require fabrication work. Where this is the case, we will provide a quotation for any works with the report. The repairs can be carried out by any fabricator, and a certificate will still be issued on confirmation on the repairs being completed.
Maintenance
Our reports include helpful guides on how to maintain your structures to extend the life to their maximum. Regular maintenance and cleaning is the most effective way to ensure a long lasting and safe steel structure.
